Character Appearance: just some guy, I prommyPowers and Abilities:- martial arts and swordplay, ten years ago at his peak he was known as the fastest and most skilled swordsman in the martial arts world
- other cultivation powers like lightness skill (jumping very high or over long distances), superhuman speed and increased resistance to injuries, heightened perception, energy transfer, knowledge of acupressure points to affect his own or others' internal power (to stun/freeze them, help them heal or stop a poison from spreading, etc)
- all of these abilities are already significantly nerfed due to his Bicha poisoning and the damage it has done to his body and his internal power/qi/blood circulation, so at this canon point he's only at about 10% of his original power (which is still enough to beat most people's asses as long as he can make it quick, though that tends to trigger a flare-up of the illness)
- yangzhouman, which is not explained super well in canon but is basically a specific way of cultivating his internal power. it's part of what makes him such a powerful fighter in his youth, but its main use in canon is for healing himself and others when he transfers it to them, especially for detoxing poisons. it can't cure him of Bicha poisoning but it does extend his life far beyond what would be expected, and he can take the edge off poisoning attacks with it if he really needs to, though at the cost of what is essentially his life energy
- Bicha poisoning has damaged his body in such a way that he is basically immune to most poisons, though this isn't handled super consistently in canon (he's shown to be immune to knockout incense and is no longer allergic to peanuts, but he still does very much fall asleep from the poppy infused lipstick, so...)
- he is extremely observant and good at making deductions about people, because he his ancient fantasy Chinese Sherlock Holmes

Character Questions:1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most? Bonded with by fate, it's Di Feisheng. Ten years ago, they were enemy sect leaders who met on a boat for a duel, mortally wounded each other and fell into the sea together. Each unaware that the other has somehow survived, they meet again in the present and immediately speedrun the weirdest enemies-to-friends-to-secret-third-thing I have ever seen. Di Feisheng insists on following him around during investigations (so they can have a rematch), doing nonconsensual medical procedures on him to try to cure his incurable poisoning (so they can have a rematch), and placing his life into Li Lianhua's hands when he gets amnesia (so he can remember Li Xiangyi and have a rematch). Li Lianhua categorically refuses to ever fight Di Feisheng again, has way too much fun taking advantage of the amnesia and thinks it's hilarious when Di Feisheng happens to other people, but is also very empathetic towards the extreme amounts of loss of agency Di Feisheng keeps experiencing, and doesn't hesitate to save his life. They know and understand each other intimately, they were evenly matched in martial prowess, they were both victims of a conspiracy by people they trusted ten years ago, they can't escape each other, they are

2. What are they most afraid of?This is a character that is constantly leaving, ditching people, he sort of faked his death and changed his identity and then built a house on wheels so no one can catch him. So there's probably a couple things he's always desperate to avoid - responsibilities and expectations chief among them. He's afraid of hurting people, or perhaps just of the guilt associated with that (because he can hurt people just fine if he thinks it's for their own good). In his youth he was a sect leader responsible for the death of many sect members through an impulsive decision, his mere existence just being himself seems to hurt people because they view him as an unattainable ideal that makes them feel inferior, after Li Xiangyi's "death" many of the people he used to be close with are unable to move on from their various grief and guilts associated with him. In his life as Li Lianhua, he spends a significant amount of time and effort throughout the show trying to help people move on from him. I think what he's most afraid of is dying with that guilt.
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically? Physically is easy, that's the Bicha poisoning. It ruined most of his martial arts power, and what's left of it is spent on keeping him alive for the past ten years. Symptoms flare up during times of stress and extreme physical exertion, but also just regularly and increasing in frequency and severity as he approaches the end of what his body can take. Like with most chronic illnesses, he has good and bad days, but he generally has fairly poor stamina, seemingly getting tired easily (though he might also be playing that up, it's impossible to know) and not having the healthiest appetite. Doctors can generally tell he's dying, or at least recognize his appallingly weak pulse. The man gets dizzy when he gets up too fast.
Di Feisheng once diagnosed his biggest weakness as "you like being a hero", which sounds almost comically tropey coming from the "villain" until you realize it's the crushing amounts of responsibility and guilt he takes on. He feels responsible for misfortunes up to and including how other people feel about him and failing to realize the person he was closest to in life since childhood was betraying him. He finds out someone murdered his shifu mainly just out of hatred for Li Xiangyi and he spits up blood and nearly dies about it. He considers himself the most capable and the most expendable for dealing with any serious problem, and this is only made worse by being terminally ill, so he spends what little energy he has left on saving other people, rather than trying to hold onto his own life for just a little bit longer. Right until the end he thinks he knows what's best for everyone and makes decisions without including anyone else or sharing that burden. Unfortunately he does not realize that abandoning people is not actually the solution to any of these problems.
4. What would make them happiest? He takes a lot of joy in small things - experimenting in the kitchen, growing vegetables, taking care of his dog, napping in the sun and drinking good wine. So he would say he's happiest living a simple life, not involved with anyone and no one involved with him. But I think what would really make him happiest is seeing the people he cares about happy, just living their lives well.
5. What’s their type for a lover? Well I think he is probably fantasy ancient Chinese aromantic (which is just like regular aromantic but with even more comphet, thanks confucianism), so he is not someone with that kind of need or desire. But given that the two members of his queerplatonic bitch polycule are pretty similar in personality, we can make some deductions about how he is drawn to people that are just super annoying and argumentative, stubborn and straightforward, and who will somehow keep coming back to him no matter how many times he lies to them and tries to escape. For real though, what sets these two apart from others is that they are capable of reaching his level and understanding him, but also of surprising and defying him. He will still try to escape the mortifying ordeal of being known, tho.
